About

Steady, practical help with Alberta traffic tickets.

Alberta Ticket Fighter has supported drivers across the province since 2011. We focus on one thing — Alberta traffic and driving matters — and we do it in plain English.

Drivers come to us when they have a ticket they were not expecting, a court date they cannot avoid, or a charge that could affect their licence or insurance. Most are not looking for legal theatre. They want to know what their options are, what the realistic outcomes look like, and what a decent next step is.

Robert GardinerDirector and Owner

Robert Gardiner is the Director and owner of Alberta Ticket Fighter, the Edmonton-based traffic ticket defence service he has led since 2011. Over fifteen years representing Alberta drivers, the firm has handled every category of provincial traffic matter — speeding, careless driving, no insurance (s. 54), hit and run, driving while suspended, red light, Immediate Roadside Sanction appeals under the SafeRoads Alberta program, and commercial vehicle (CVSA / NSC) violations.

Under Robert’s oversight, the firm concentrates on three things:

  • Demerit point protection — negotiating with provincial prosecutors to amend moving violations down to non-moving violations where possible, so insurance premiums stay where they are.
  • Trial representation — filing the dispute, requesting and reviewing disclosure, and appearing at first appearance and trial in Alberta traffic courts on the driver’s behalf, so most drivers do not need to take time off work.
  • Commercial driver (Class 1) defence — managing CVOR and carrier compliance exposure and protecting professional driving abstracts from major violations.

Robert operates out of Alberta Ticket Fighter’s head office at 11445 - 124 Street, Suite 206, Edmonton, working with drivers across the province from Edmonton and Calgary to Fort McMurray, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat, and the surrounding communities.

What we do

We help Alberta drivers respond to provincial traffic tickets, court summonses, and licence-related charges. That includes speeding, careless driving, no insurance, hit and run, driving while suspended, IRS roadside sanctions, red-light, and commercial vehicle matters. We represent drivers at Alberta traffic court where permitted and walk through the realistic picture before any decision is made.

How we work

Every file starts with a free ticket review. We look at the ticket, the response deadline, the charge type, and the driver’s situation, and we explain — clearly — what the realistic options are. If we can help, we say so. If the most useful step is something else, we say that too. We do not pressure drivers into representation that does not fit the file.

Sending your ticket to us

To make the review as accurate as possible, please provide:

  • A clear photo of the front and back of the citation.
  • Your upcoming court or appearance date (printed on the ticket).
  • Any related paperwork (CVSA inspection report, IRS notice, etc.) if applicable.

The Free Ticket Review form collects everything we need in one place.

What we are not

We are not a law firm. We are an Alberta-based traffic ticket defence service. For matters that require a lawyer — Criminal Code charges, complex civil litigation, family law — we will say so plainly and point in the right direction. Within provincial traffic and driving matters, representation by an agent is permitted in Alberta and is what we have spent 14+ years doing.

Where we work

We serve drivers across Alberta, with focused capacity in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, and Medicine Hat. Our office is in Edmonton; most files are handled remotely with court representation in the relevant jurisdiction.

No obligation

Have the ticket in front of you?

Send us a photo and the basics through our Free Ticket Review form — we will walk you through what the charge actually is and what your real options are.
